...wins the race. At least that's what they say. I know this project will be a fairly long build, but I'm excited to finally have a layout plan that will allow me to run just about any kind of train (Diesel, steam, electric) I know, I know, how can you run electric without a catenary system? Well, it's my layout, anything goes. When I was asked if I was a prototypical model railroader or era/area specific modeller, I responded "I'm a whatever I can dream up kind of modeller."

Right now, I've cleared some space in the basement and have purchased about 100 pieces of the estimated 600+ pieces of Kato Unitrack I'll need for this project. Haven't even budgeted for any buildings or scenery yet, but that's a long time away

With the blizzard this past weekend, I wasn't able to buy any the lumber needed to start the benchwork, so that's my plan for next week (starting with the yard area)...
